or click to browse

Image Color Extractor samples an uploaded photo or UI screenshot and returns dominant HEX swatches you can turn into brand boards or starter design tokens.

Upload an image, choose how many colors to extract and whether you prefer diverse colors, then copy all swatches or download JSON for handoff.

Extraction runs in the browser, which helps when moodboards contain unpublished creatives.

FAQ

Is the image uploaded to a server?

Sampling is designed to run in your browser via the page scripts. Still avoid confidential assets on shared PCs.

What does diverse colors mean?

It biases toward a spread of hues rather than many near-duplicate shades when that method is selected.

Can I extract from SVG?

Rasterize or export a PNG/JPEG first if the uploader expects bitmap images.

Why are results muddy?

Busy photos average many pixels. Crop to the subject, then extract again.

Does JSON include RGB?

The download includes the swatch data structure produced by the tool; inspect the file after export.
